How
to Improve Pathologist Compensation
and Productivity for You and Your Lab
Emerging
trends and job options
YOUR
PRESENTER: Rich
Cornell,
President, Santé Consulting
Capable pathologists are in great demand right now. And that demand
is fueling increased compensation. Good news for you—particularly
if you have the right mix of subspecialty expertise and productivity.
Whether your practice is trying to fill open positions, you’re
a pathologist in training looking to understand the competitiveness
of the marketplace and the subspecialties in demand, or you’re
personally considering a career move, this audio conference will
give you the information you need about important new developments
in pathologist compensation, productivity, and hiring trends.
Even pathology residency programs will find this an exceptional
learning opportunity for new pathologists.
For almost 20 years, Rich Cornell, President of Santé Consulting—industry
expert and conference presenter for this event—has placed
pathologists at all the leading anatomic pathology companies and
private groups nationwide. If you’re looking to hire, he’ll
help you understand how to craft compensation packages that are
a win-win for your laboratory and the pathologists you’re
recruiting. And if you’re an individual pathologist, you’ll
gain insight into the latest market trends and find out how to
land the job you want with the best possible compensation package.
This 90-minute session will be organized around three primary
areas of interest:
Pathologist Compensation Trends: Not all subspecialists
are created equal. You’ll find out which pathology skills
are in highest demand, explore the range of direct and indirect
compensation typically offered by private pathologist groups and
learn how these differ from packages offered by independent and
national laboratories.
Pathologist
Productivity Trends: Productivity standards are changing
dramatically. With about 10% of all U.S. pathologists now employed
by investor-owned companies, find out how these labs structure
compensation, the recent trends for productivity models and how
those models are changing. You’ll also learn why private
pathology groups often adopt similar productivity formulas for
their own partner compensation packages.
Pathologist Hiring and Market Trends: Demand
for subspecialty pathology skills still outstrips the supply for
certain clinical skills. As a result, the era of the generalist-pathologist
may be in decline. Find out what the current and future market
supply and demand looks like, plus get some basic techniques you
can use during the interview process to make your opportunity
more attractive to prospective pathologists.
This audio conference presents a unique opportunity to learn from
one of the nation’s leading pathologist search firms. Listen
on your own or assemble key team members so you can all listen
together. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the most
productive ways to improve your interview process and compensation
models.
